Thank you for taking part in our survey. We hope you will take part in all 3 surveys however would like to remind you that you can withdraw from the study at any time. To do this you can simply ignore future invites, or email apt.study@ed.ac.uk to remove your email address from the contact list.

What if after filling out these questionnaires, I feel like I need someone to talk to?

In the unlikely event that you experience any persistent or severe discomfort or distress as a consequence of participating in this research, we advise you to contact your family doctor, The Samaritans, or the NHS (contact details provided below).

The Samaritans are a helpline open 24hrs a day, 365 days a year. The number is free to call.

Support in Mind: 0131 662 4359 (UK)

Support in Mind are a Scotland based charity committed to improving quality of life for anyone with a mental health problem. The helpline is open Mon-Fri; 9am-5pm.

The NHS website provides directories of helplines available, specific to particular concerns.

What if after filling out these questionnaires, I feel have concerns about therapy?

If completing this survey has highlighted concerns about the conduct of a therapist, or any professional, we encourage you to report this to you family doctor, health board or relevant authority. Please see here for details.
